Does Vstrom 650 rear shock fit on NC700x?

I’m having a bad time with the rear suspension of my nc, even trying to reduce the preload I can’t get the suspension working soft enough for me.

I live in Brazil and here options like ohlins or hyperpro are out of reach.

I’m thinking about to fit the vstrom rear shock in my nc. Anyone has done that here?

Most people I've seen using shocks from a different bike used an "Aprilla Tueno" , not sure on the spelling but I have to go.

A few of the CB500X guys have transplanted a Suki GSXR rear shock in their bikes......easy to do, cheap on Ebay, and gives a good amount of adjustment. I have one, but have not done it yet on my CB500. Don't know if it will fit the NC700X or not.........

Krampus, by not soft enough I mean it is really harsh. On good tarmac it runs pretty nice, but any bump, edges, bridge step in or step out and I feel I’m gonna to be ejected from the bike.

Today I let the bike with the suspension specialist here in town. The guy was dirt bike professional racer before and now sets suspensions.

For the forks he will install cartridge emulators. For the the rear shock after measuring and trying the nc he said me he thinks it needs more preload as it works too close to the end of range ( the previous owner had reduced the preload and I didn’t know that until today)

When I get the nc back I’ll write my impressions here
