I attempted to install McCruise -- have had them on two other bikes, and do enough distance riding to want it on the CTX -- and erred somewhere, and the DCT is unhappy. Bike will start, and shift to "D", but as soon as I start rolling, the gear display blanks, and the bike will not shift.

I realize there is a way to short the diagnostics connector, and interpret flashes for major codes -- it sure would be nice to have a reader that is programmed for Honda's peculiar protocol (I say "peculiar", as I have three other readers and none will connect with the Honda).

With the smart people here, I would think someone has solved this.

Edit: I misunderstood your post, after re-reading I figured out what you were asking. You have installed a cruise control feature and the dct didn't like it and now you are trying to figure out what type of code it could be throwing to make the DCT fault. Can't help there. Good luck.

The cruise control has a tap at the speed sensor, and I'm pretty sure the ECU also uses that as an input, so that'll be the first place I look.

But I sure would like to know what it is reporting.
