Honda NC 700 S/X DCT first oil change (twin filter) using torque wrench. DIY tutorial

Just fyi, if there are multiple bolts being torqued on a single assembly, you should go through the torque sequence twice, as the earlier bolts may be loose after the later ones are torqued.

You have right, but in this case we have only two separate bolts

One important note about the two 6mm NSHF flange bolts: they must be clean without any lubrication on them.

Otherwise the suggested torque (12 N·m, page 1-15 in NC700 Service Manual) actually will be the double. You may have set the torque wrench to 10 N·m but the applied torque will be much bigger (about the double for oil. Actually it applies for every bolt unless noted otherwise in the service manual, like the oil filter...).

It's very easy to brake them...

And be sure that the cover is installed properly before your torque the bolts. It's very brittle... (Lesson learned the hard way)

Also, be sure that you're using your torque wrench correctly: that you grab it from the right spot, and that you adjust it properly, from a lower torque to a higher one (at least for Norbars...)
