OK NW Comet... The old tag was an "Unusual Bus". This one is out of Sand Point Id, the sign said "Hippie Store" and both of the busses pictured had huge signs on their sides that spelled out "LOVE"! The large bus had a huge addition welded to it's top. Most unusual. :{)


the New tag is a large and working Saw Mill. Take note of the position of the flag!! It was a blustery day Christopher Robin with winds at about 20mph and gusts to 35-40mph!

Rapturee, you may have "stumped" me on this one. Not even sure where or how far the nearest large and working saw mill is. I "wood" be hard pressed this week to "lumber" far to look for one.

I “saw” the tag but it goes against the grain to find it and makes me bark in frustration.

Old tag is a large and working Saw Mill. This is the Hampton Lumber Mills in Darrington, WA and even though it is the 4th of July we saw a crew "working".



New tag.. a road sign or as alternative a parking lot sign specific to Motorcycles.

The sign is a little hard to read, it was into the sun and I should have gotten closer.

New tag: Road closed or bridge out sign. If that is too specific, I guess any road construction sign.

Ya Buddy!! Here is the old tag.. a historic WWII Naval base, Farragut State Park, Bayview Idaho. :{)



New tag is an office/home office of something "very useful"... nothing cheesey will qualify so it better be a good one! Its rainy today but this is a great shot of the Northern Headquarters of the Famous/world recognized BUCK KNIVES!! :{)

The Naval base primarily served as a testing grounds because of the depths in the lake beyond 1500'. It also had an integral part in servicing our northern neighbors as they punched a serviceable road through Canada on towards Alaska. That way they had a secondary route and did not have to rely on the shipping lanes only to get goods, services, troops and supplies up there. The Farragut Naval Base is still in use today for Submarine, Sonar and Sub type equipment testing. The next time i'm up there with the family we'll hit Museum again and take some pictures of the cool stuff they have there. :{)

Indiana has one in the southwest central part of the state (Crane Naval base). Naval Sea Systems Command > Home > Warfare Centers > NSWC Crane
No deep lakes or rivers nearby either.
Heck, the Military's main Airlift Command is at Scott AFB, 17 east of St. Louis-middle of soybeans and cornfields.
They put military bases anywhere.
