How about a game of NC tag? Its a lot of fun!

Beautiful day here, 60 (15), blue skies, almost no wind.
I stopped at a nice spot and remembered I should check the current tag.

Old railroad bridge:
This is the old Frisco and trolley bridge across the Spring River in Baxter Springs, Kansas. It was abandoned by 1940 and has had no maintenance since then. They built to last back then!
Rail lines with passenger service ran through the old mining fields from Miami, Oklahoma to Joplin, Missouri.
These look out of focus in the thumbnail, but they sharpen up if you click on them.

A library.
This one is the Johnston Public Library in Baxter Springs, Kansas.
(named after the donor)
My mother was born nearby and this library was her refuge from a tough family situation.
A nice librarian befriended her and turned her into a life long reader.

restaurant with a name describing something they serve.
“The Cow,” Welch Oklahoma. I took a picture with some outdoor decorations but, they don’t show up well in daylight.
Not sure if it’s open, between COVID and some road construction in the town.

Old tag: a restaurant with a name saying what they serve20191123_153003~2.jpg
Country Boys BBQ in Cashmere, Washington. No, they don't serve country boys. Sorry ladies and gents. They do serve the best BBQ in the state. Meat is so luscious and flavorful it almost doesn't need sauce. But the sauce is fantastic. They started selling the sauce, much to my and my wife's delight.

The brass pig's name is Harley. Fitting. Though more often these days adventure bikes are seen. His nose is rubbed for good luck and good riding. It's right off the southern half of our stunning cascade mountain loop.

It’s about a 600 mile ride for me, one way, to get a picture of my NC by any sort of mountain!

Yea, Indiana dont have mountains either...and it is an almost 900 mile round trip to a mountain.....I guess I could go to the northern edges of the Appalachian mountains in south east Ky, but that is 400+ mile round trip.

Here we say, “Oklahoma, conveniently situated halfway between the mountains and the ocean.”

Old tag: river bend

Well-played...even though you had the assist of a road sign!
: )
You beat me to it as I was on the hunt today and came home with these bends in the river...

...all for nothing but thought I'd share anyways. Guess we'll keep our eyes open for signs pointing to the Redbox Forest Preserve or something.
: )
Best of the season to all!

Finally made it to a Redbox

New tag: church with a bell/belltower

Didn't mean for this to sit for a month. A photo in front of any bike shop, bar, or marina would do.
Let's say "Array of powersports vehicles" can simply mean more than one!
Let me know if I should revise further!!
