Bike
2024 NC750XD, 2024 Trail 125
New member here. Just purchased a 2024 NC750X from a dealer in Oklahoma City. Will be picking it up next Saturday. Very excited to explore the potential of this bike, and learning from members here. Have ridden smaller bikes since childhood off & on. This will be my biggest bike so far. Currently also own a 2024 Trail 125 that I have thoroughly enjoyed which I intend to keep, but wanted a highway capable machine to compliment it. Hopefully I will be able to contribute something useful to the forum.

Hello drjon, I have the same stable of bikes just different years. I have a 23 Trail-125 and a 21 NC750XD
They complement each other well!

Good to hear. I spent a lot of time looking at different bikes before deciding on the NC. Pretty sure I made the right decision.

Ljurgens, I see that you are in Wisconsin. Most likely you have heard of, and drank, beer from the New Glarus brewery. One of my ancestors was a co-founder of the town of New Glarus.

I joined the Honda Trail 125 Forum last August when I received that bike. Since then I think I have contributed enough useful info to earn my keep there. Not nearly as much as I have received though. Hopefully I can do the same here.

Shure you will we all have different life experiences.
Which helps others greatly.
Hear's a tip at Walmart they have a big felt pen sized heat gun. Plugs in to Wall not rechargeable . Great for shrink tubing and shrink connectors.
Granted the little separate heat shield that you put on falls off is to thin. Works great for wiring.
I love it.

I really like the red NC you have. With the Green Trail 125, you should nick name them Stop & Go, ha. Mine will be blue of course (no choice), which is ok. I'll get a pic of my 2 this weekend and post it.

Have been thinking about putting a windscreen on my Trail125. How do you like yours? I have the same OEM front rack, and would probably get a Honda windscreen that attaches to it if I do decide to get one. Also, it looks like you have the original tires. I replaced mine with 3" Shinko 244s, front & rear. Huge improvement on dirt, sand & gravel.

I do like the windscreen, I got the one from webike out of japan, it is the taller version.
I do have the stock tires for now, I only have about 350 miles on it, so I'm going to wear them down a bit and then most likely go the shinko's. I have to go quite a ways to find gravel here in my area. I can go over into SE MN or NE IA to get that but need to haul the bike there to do it.
I have a 13 tooth front sprocket and a new niche x-ring chain to swap to sometime this summer.

With the 3" Shinko 244's front & back, it raised my bike a full inch and had to install front fender risers, and also build up the side stand 1" with some rubber material. I still have the stock sprockets, and going over Cordova Pass (11,260' and very rough & steep in places) at the Spanish Peaks in Colorado last Sept, I sure could have used some lower gearing. Long stretches where it was either high revs in 1st gear or up-shift to 2nd and bog down. Instead of a 13 tooth front sprocket, I will probably just go 1-2 teeth more at the back. Going over that pass on stock tires would have been a nightmare! With the Shinko's, no worries.
Here are 2 pics of the Spanish Peaks from a distance. This is my playground.
