Hi. I have replaced the ignition barrel on my nc700s DCT due to snapping key in it. I recieved a black module with the new lock so it recognizes the new key but not sure where the module plugs into? I presume it's an ecu of some description . Any idea where it is located on my bike?

Just plug it into the same mating connector as the previous module. You don't have to worry where the individual wires go. If you want to know this, you need the wiring diagram included with the Service Manual and some knowledge of how to read and interpret it.

Since now I'm not sure what you mean by "black module" (I think Immobilizer Receiver) so I'm including some information from the Service Manual.

Yeah I think it's the immobiliser receiver. Its so my bike will start with the new keys. I dont know where on the bike the module is. But the diagram look like it shows the location

This is the module I am referring to

This is not an Immobilizer.
This is the Pgm-Fi Unit (38770-MGS-D12).
Immobilizer Receiver looks like this:

Do you know where the Pgm-Fi Unit (38770-MGS-D12) is located on the bike so I can swap it with the new one??

You must find this information in the Service Manual for your motorcycle model. Here in the U.S. HISS is not used.
Maybe ask the same question in the UK forum.

The location of the Pgm-Fi (or ECM / PCM) unit is under the seat as shown in the System Location diagram above.
Registration of new keys is described in the Service Manual (section 23)

Hi,

I just lost one of my keys and there is a chance I might have left it on the bike and someone took it.
So I would like to replace the "cylinders" of both ignition and frunk.
Could you tell me where you bought a replacement barrel because googling does not immediately give me the results I am looking for so far. And did you only replace the ignition one and not the frunk ?

Also : In your case I think you could have just programmed in the new keys into the existing immobilizer/EMC/.. whatever since you still had your old transponder(s) (the transponder is in the black plastic part)

Thanks.
