Last tour of this year in northern Italy, in the Dolomites.
More videos coming soon, but till then here is the first day's ride :
Weather was fine, roads are almost great, traffic is light. The only disadvantege was the siesta time, everything is closed between 12 and 15, I was starving :)

I was talking with this man for 15 minutes, He came from Germany. It was such a great feeling to know other people and talk like old friends about motorcycles and tours. He wanted to buy the new AT / dct, he had the cash but still in April there were no bikes on stock! He complained about it, and it will be available only in 2017.feb. BTW, that BMW R1200GS is also a good one.

Hope, you'll enjoy the video!

Here are the onsite videos :

Enjoyed the video. I lived in Vicenza, Italy from 1989 to 1993. I have ridden many of those roads in northern Italy. I remember all the switch back roads making there way up and down the mountains. I actually miss living there. My battalion conducted cold weather training in those mountains too and I used to ski at Cortina d'Ampezzo among other places. Beautiful country and a great place to ride.

It is funny you mentioned riposo (siesta). That took some getting used to because we had lunch break from 11 - 12:30 so you had to get to a shop quickly before they closed. Its a good thing you took your trip in September because many of the shops owners take a couple week vacation in August although you might get lucky and find open a good trattoria.

It is near lake Missurina, the upper parking lot is at 2300m. The top of the mountains about 3000m.
