I wondered about the battery, but when I turned the key on, the fuel pump sounded pretty perky.
My NC fired right up. As I let it warm up in my shed, I could smell something burning. More than the typical "cold air fog" was
coming out of my exhaust. I gave the throttle a few blips and noticed stuff coming out of the muffler. A closer look and I could see it
was some downy chicken feathers from my birds I had a few years back. Damn mice were packing that stuff in there!
It was a balmy 34 degrees, but the joy of getting back in the saddle kept me warm with imaginary heat.
Only went about 30 miles. It was enough to scratch the riding itch a little bit. I couldn't take the curves
like I usually do, due to salt crystals still covering the road in many places.
