I replaced my fork seals a while back, and yet again, the one that was leaking is leaking again. The right side fork (brake side) was leaking in the past, multiple tries at cleaning it, no luck so I swapped both seals. Now it is leaking again. I didn’t find any issues with the fork when I swapped the seals, so I don’t think that is an issue. Should I just swap it again, or is there something else that I need to check while doing it? Any brand of seals I should avoid?

I recently replaced the seals and dust covers, and a couple thoughts:

1) make 100% sure there's no damage to the fork ... no scratches, dents, etc. Doesn't take much to cause a slow leak or weeping; and

2) make sure the fork seal is fully seated. My right side was a bi#ch ... I have one of those fork seal tools (Fork Seal Tool), but what worked best was using the old seal with the tool to seat the new seal.
