I have amassed a lot of rear shocks for my 750S over the years. I am now contemplating trading in the S for a new X version, primarily for the better weather protection.
It would be good if the rear shocks were the same eye to eye measurement, or at least close.
Anyone know for sure what the rear shock eye to eye dimension on the latest (2021 on) X version is?
I have seen both 329mm and 300mm quote, but I have no clue if either is correct.
My S is 305mm and the older X was 312mm.
Wilburs, Ohlins and Hyperpro make shocks for the 2021/22 X, but they don't quote the length unfortunately.
The part numbers are different to the S too, so typical Honda, make it slightly different.
It's not a disaster if the S shocks don't fit, but I have a really nice Sachs from a V4 Tuono it would be good to at least try.
