My Ducati buddy crashed his Panigale 1199 at Barber Monday. Makes me sick! He had a lot of time and money invested in this unit. Lucky he got out with only a broken hand and mild concussion. Violent highside. He is not sure if rider error or something broke on the bike and locked up rear wheel. He might be able to sell a couple items off of it, but it is a total loss otherwise. We think the front tire is still good, only had 7 sessions on it. If so, he is going to give it to me to finish off on track. Although I'm not sure how I feel about that, could be cursed...LOL. but still a free, barely used race slick!

Had to go drink a beer with him and mourn the loss yesterday. LOL

Random thought for the day..

A honey bee can get almost 5,000,000 miles per gallon of honey.

In my 66th year, this year, I got my first S.S. check and a first paycheck (I've been self-employed) in 35 years. And bought a refurbished '83 GL650 with 28,000 miles on it. I road to work to figure out road closures on the Mississippi Parkway for my monday commute and to test out a seat gel pad I heard recommended here.

Man! This weather is sooooo nice! Moon bright and high in the sky, Staind on the radio, cold beer in hand....shame I have to work in the morning, although it won't be all bad because I'm gonna ride the NC to work. I love these Fall nights so much, it's unfortunate they're limited in number because it turns cold so soon.

Had a 40' long Bradford Pear limb fall across the driveway last night....made for a good fire though. Also, not environmentally friendly but I sacrificed those Trailmax tires that came off the NC

The tobacco is cut, spiked and hung in the barn, then hickory slabs are set on fire and then smothered with saw dust so it will just smoke and smolder thus smoke curing this tobacco which is used in fine pipe tobacco.
That is cool! How much land do y'all use to grow tobacco?

It's usually sold before growing, a company contracts so many pounds and you know average yield per acre that's how you calculate acres needed
Ah, never thought of that. I guess I was moreso curious of how many acres a good tobacco farm consisted of.

I wish we lived closer!! I used to Bon-Fire often with friends though we used broken down old pallets. We'd always make a ring out of our tailgates and man that hard wood burns hot!
For sure man! We used to do this all the time as well. Now older with less friends, happens less than I'd prefer.

haha, i am not affiliated with these folks at all nor do i profit from it/them. I just thought it was a really cool t-shirt! Maybe we could find someone who is good at designing and make an NC700 members t-shirt out of something like this and offer them here for sale (and maybe as a gift when members/folks pay a voluntary fee) to assist with the web hosting/member fees. just a thought... and a really cool t-shirt too! :{)
