Got out with the girlfriend on the NC this weekend and rode through some backroads around Little River Canyon and stopped for some scenic views! I love it up there! First ride on 2 wheels since crashing the cruiser on Dec 9th! Really surprised she wanted to ride with me after the crash, she's brave Lol.

Got married April 2017, which was more like a funeral rather than a wedding....huge mistake. Separated late fall/early winter 2019, finally officially divorced and she moved out early 2020. She made the process as complicated as possible for what should have been a simple, uncontested, get your shit and get out divorce...we didn't have any kids together, luckily. Started dating this one March 2020 soon after divorcing. Proposed to her this past February, and we're getting married in Asheville, NC in July. MUCH happier this go-round.

We actually just got back late last night from spending the weekend at Deal's Gap. Stayed at a place in Robbinsville I'd never heard of called Blue Waters Mountain Lodge. Fantastic service and experience there, will definitely stay there again.

Congrats Taco-Man! So good to see those pictures of you two together and see her eyes smiling like that. Every day purpose to give her your very best. :{)
Thanks buddy! We are both on the same page with what we want in life and work as a team pretty good. We both strive to put the other first and it works really well. And she LOVES riding motorcycles and adventuring, the mountains, fine dining, etc....which are all things I love too. She is wanting her own motorcycle too, so we might end up getting her one of the new Rebel 1100 bikes with the DCT trans. She is smart and catches on to things quickly, so I'm pretty confident she will actually be a really good rider.

She is a travel nurse and is in the process of moving in with me and then selling her house. We'll probably live at my house for a few years and then buy or build somewhere else. Might even pick up and move to the beach or the mountains. She stated several times this weekend while cruising around North Carolina that she'd love to live up there in those mountains. I like the beach better myself, but also like the mountains too. But I really am perfectly happy where we are in north AL and just continue taking trips to the mountains and the beach. No telling what our future holds, but it will be one big adventure, regardless! :)

My buddy is taking me for a ride in his glider! (KHXF - Hartford WI USA)
That's a nice looking bird. I've worked as a glider instructor in my "spare time" for about 14 years now, though I've not had enough spare time to fly much in recent years.
Similar type gliders, we use the SGS 2-33A. Not the flashiest aircraft out there, but reliable and sturdy. Excellent machines for when some of your students haven't even got a driver's license yet.

That explains it then. Congrats on the approaching nuptials.

BTW you guys remind me of me and Mrs Ferret. She loves adventures, motorcycle riding, mountains. We have moto traveled all over the US, Canada and Europe. Couldn't find a better companion. Started riding together 49 years ago come November. She has had her own bike a couple of times but prefers just to ride with me. Using intercoms the last few years has only enhanced our riding experience. Tomorrow we celebrate 47 years of wedded adventure bliss. It's great to have someone to share your passions with.

We go to Robbinsville every couple of years. Usually stay at Two Wheel Inn or the Marriott there in town, but that Blue Mountain Lodge looks like it has great views compared to the places we usually stay lol.
