A recall has just been released affecting Can-Am’s 2022 Ryker, courtesy of a warning from parent company Bombardier Recreational Products.
According to the U.S NHTSA, a handlebar bolt is the suspect, with a risk of crashing via loss of steering being the main worry – and apparently, the injuries have already started accruing.

“In documents filed with the agency, Bombardier wrote that it had two reports of stem bolts that broke while the cycles were being ridden,” states the recall.
“There was one injury, a sprained ankle. Another 56 bolts broke while dealers were preparing the motorcycles for delivery.”

As of July 15, owners and nearby dealers have begun the recall process; each faulty machine’s steering column threads will purportedly be cleaned for installation of a new stem bolt by the appropriate team.
If you own a 2022 Ryker and aren’t sure if you’re included in the calls being made, be sure to park your Ryker and contact BRP customer service at 1-888-272-9222 (BRP’s number for this recall is 2022-16).
