A new set of type approval documents have surfaced in India regarding Royal Enfield’s Hunter 350 – and based on what’s been revealed we can expect that the Hunter will keep its reputation as RE’s most affordable bike.

Let’s break down the specs and compare them to the next bike in line – the Classic 350.

According to GaadiWaadi, the type-approval documents reveal that the new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will be 15kg heavier than the Classic 350’s 345kg/760.5lbs, clocking in at 360kg/794lbs; a decent heft, certainly.

The Hunter will also carry the same 349.34cc heart as the Classic 350, capable of 14.87kW/20hp @ 6100rpm and 27Nm of torque, with the power complemented by the Hunter 350’s size (she may be cinched with a 2,055mm/81” length and 1,055mm/41.5” height, but she beats the Classic 350 by 15mm with a 800mm/31” width).

Expect the Hunter 350 to sit on a smaller 1370mm/54” wheelbase but the same double cradle frame as the Classic 350, suspended on telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers, with single and dual-channel ABS options available once it is out and in the market proper.
