S vs X seat

Came to my attention yesterday that the material that is used to cover the S and X seats is different in pattern and the X seat is shinier. It feels a bit more slippery on the X when you run your hand along it too (the seat that is) and may well account for why no one complains over on UK forum about a slippery seat on the S but plenty of complaints on the X seat..... I just do not get why they would use a more slippery material on a seat that is more angled, go figure

I'd venture to say that Honda knows that if you plan to ride either bike any distance you will have to invest in another seat anyway.

Same here. I'm sore after 600 miles, but I don't think that's the seat's fault.
The seat is OK the way it is.... would an aftermarket seat be better.... yes,
but not enough to justify the cost. $600 for Corbin. (or even $150 from Seat Concepts)
