I installed the cruise control on my 2021 manual yesterday. The video was excellent and made the process very simple. I rewatched segments of the install video as I was doing the install. Getting the plastics off and back on without breaking anything was the most difficult part.

The three button control fits really well on my manual. I ended up moving the connector blocks around so that the controller was easy to attach in the front.

I did a test ride and everything works perfectly as advertised.

Great work! Kudos to Veridian Cruise for giving plenty of slack to allow riders to mount the controller and the switch block as they prefer.

By the way, did you need to redrill any part of the handlebar to re-pin the left mirror mount on your manual NC750X?

Agreed on trying not breaking any tabs when removing and replacing the panels; it was certainly nerve-wracking the first few times I had to do it.

No need to drill a new hole on the handlebar for the mirror mount in the new location. Although there is a hole in the handlebar in the original position, there is no locating pin on the mirror mount on my bike. Maybe the hole is for the DCT handbrake?

Yep. Since the left mirror mount is also the clutch lever mount, the clamp won’t be pinned to the handlebar. . The owner needs to be able to adjust the clutch lever angle to fit individual ergonomics

I am thinking that unless you have a forward mounted radar, to detect decelerating vehicles in front of you, to shut the cruise control down is is bad juju to have it on a motorcycle. Without cruise control you just let go of the throttle and the springs close it, and you slow down. The throttle return spring on my 2022 NC-750X DCT is very light, and not at all a bother, even on long rides. If I have missed info that the Veridain has radar also, I'll stand corrected on that. The late model BMW RT 1250, I rode on, with one of those guided tour companies, this past April, had the forward looking radar, and I figured out how to use the system, then did not use it. I find that my NC-750 is a great bike, with many attributes, though down on power a bit, but hey I can go full throttle out of a turn, and not spin the rear wheel.

Some information that may help other Veridian cruise users when troubleshooting faults

Before the below problem occurred my cruise control had been working faultlessly.

Last Friday morning I discovered that the battery was flat(ish) on my NC - the ignition came on but there was not enough power to turn the engine over. I put the bike on a fast charger for 15 minutes to get it going and headed off on my 3 day ride.

Unfortunately I soon discovered the cruise control no longer worked. I checked and found that the yellow LED light came on on the controller and the red LED light flashed when I pulled the brake lever. On the move, the Set and Resume buttons killed the throttle, instead of setting the speed. It was as if I had let go of the throttle.

Back home, I found it was an easy fix. Running the "Throttle Programming" function as set out in the printed installation instructions had the cruise control working properly again.

I didn't fancy taking all that plastic off again 😓

Disclaimer: I have no proof that the 2 problems are related

FWIW: Did you press the starter button? If yes the battery voltage would drop significantly. I have experienced motorcycle electronics that have sometimes required re setting when such a thing happens.

How is it different than a car prior to adaptive cruise? If you are operating a motor vehicle you should be paying attention and aware of your surroundings. I have owned motorcycles with cruise control sans radar, touching either brake, clutch or throttle cancelled the system.

Yep, the old "Factory Reset" is a commonly used help desk solution to electronic faults after power surges etc... With more modern motorcycles having Canbus wiring these sort of faults are probably going to be more common.

I'm very curious.

I ordered 2 for the '21 and '23 DCT.
The dealer installed them because the motorcycles are in winter storage there.
The mechanic installed them and called me: That cruise control works really well.

Now I have to wait until spring to experience it too.

I haven't finished installing my Veridian unit, but wanted to share my switch holder idea. All you need is a simple bracket available on Amazon (see link) or elsewhere. The diameter of the tube is slightly too small for the switch, but easily fixed with a thin piece of rubber. I also modified the bracket so the switch would be closer to my thumb and easier to operate. Keep in mind that handguards may interfere or limit the switch location. It was a tight fit with my Barkbuster Storm Guards, but I was able to make it work.

Thanks. I think that's where I want mine as well. Right side housing option looks slick, but I don't know if my right hand can control throttle and hit button at same time. Maybe the DCT right-side installers can disabuse me of that fear.

I have mine on the right side with the custom control and I have had no issue setting the cruise, even with larger winter gloves on.
