Really interesting scope of the careers. Feels like IT is leading the way for now :)

Adding to the list "fog" salesman, at least that's what they used to call marketing positions before. Been working in sales, trade and brand marketing for 18 years now; chewing gum, dairy, confectionary and currently tobacco.

I have the same position as Old Can Ride. Taught middle school and high school English for 34 years but got earyl retirement (thank God)

Full time student mostly, working at a crap job while I'm doing that. I did work in a factory for 12 years, but got tired of the same ol same ol.

Last five years, been working in the injection molding department at a plastic toy manufacturer.

Before that, a few years as a licensed builder/contractor. -And before that, 17 years at the local home center/lumberyard.

Work for an engineering and surveying firm in the mountain west helping clients permit and develop oil and gas wells. Lots of maps for the various permitting and regulatory agencies - that's the part I'm involved in.

I work in IT for a Fortune 100 company here in Silicon Valley. I don't get to put my hands on the hardware, since I'm in management these days.!

A little verse you may like:

They don't let me blow the whistle
I'm not allowed to ring the bell
But let this damned thing jump the tracks
And see who catches hell

I'm a retired Environmental Control Specialist (read Police Lieutenant). I figured 36 years in the business was enough. I did get to ride police motorcycles for 15 years. What a hoot!

I retired from the Navy as an Aircraft Electronics Technician. Now working for NASA setting up long duration balloons with electronics to keep track of it during flight. The balloons carry experiments and telescopes to study the universe made by much smarter people than me. I get the easy stuff like gps and communication... Lots of travel, not always a good thing...

I'm a designer. Our company manufactures concession/rental go-karts and bumper boats for the amusement industry. I design parts for karts and boats and also the kart tracks. Probably have drawn over 1000 tracks over the years that are in use all over the globe.

Part time, motorcycle safety instructor.

Full time (what I like to call my "2nd job"), I manage projects to develop and publish technical data standards for the airline industry.
