Where's this retaining clip from?

I was working on a few different parts of the bike and this appears to have dropped off it. No idea where it came from. There is a remote chance it isn't even from the 700X. Maybe years ago someone dropped in into the fairing and it finally worked it's way out. But if anyone recognizes it, I'll put it back in its home and possibly save myself a trip to the mechanic down the road.

The clip is 1.125" long

I'm 80% sure that's not a honda part for the 700x. I did a cursory look through on the exploded parts diagram and saw nothing like it.
