Looking at buying a Madstad to replace my CalSci on my 2015 DCT. My CalSci is a "medium," which CalSci specs as 23.5 inches "overall height - OH" and 19 inches "relative height - RH."
Madstad sizes from 16" to 24" in 2 inch increments. What I want to know is if Madstad measures from bottom to top (equal to CalSci "overall height" or from top of mounting holes to top of screen (equal to CalSci "relative height"). Anyone know the answer? I'm inclined to go a couple inches taller than my CalSci to ease the buffeting on the top of my helmet (sort of the same as adding a an extender to the CalSci), but need to be sure I don't go too tall so I'm looking through the windshield (a bad result). So if Madstad is absolute height (from top to bottom) I'd probably go with the 24" (largest) to get the extra 0.5". But if Madstad measures from the mounting holes, I'd go with a 22"and pick up 3".
Here's how CalSci describes their measurements:
