Hi Guys & Gals,

Hope you're having a good one! Slightly different take on the seat discussion - What seat do you recommend (2020 NC750X) for someone who is 6'5, 375 pounds? The most I can stand in one sitting on the stock seat is about 30-45 minutes of use. Any of the bigger people out there have experience with different seats that they can last longer on?

Thank you, sorry about resurrecting an old discussion.

I would contact Seat Concepts for a low price option. Provide them your rider weight and they can build their seat kit with an appropriate foam density. The SC standard seat sits fairly high and is reasonably wide. https://seatconcepts.com/

A more expensive option would be a custom built Russell Day-Long saddle. They work well for taller riders. https://day-long.com/

Hi thanks for the reply. I've seen that - Seat Concepts, what i'm a little worried about it seems like I have to send in my seat to them so they modify it with the foam etc? I would like a complete rip and replace, so if I ever sell the bike it has the OEM seat unmodified.

Just sharing thoughts outloud, it definitely is a contender for me.

OEM seats are disliked enough that it is easy to find a used donor seat from the forum members or eBay on which to build the Seat Concepts seat. That way you can keep your stock seat for resale purposes. I ride on a Seat Concepts seat but I happen to have a stock seat tucked away in a box somewhere.

This is what I plan on doing. However I haven't seen a stock seat for sale yet. I'm doing it more for the fact that I don't want to wait a month or 3 for my seat to come back and not be riding.

That makes sense. Or, if you are handy and have the tools, you install the foam and cover yourself. Then there is only a couple hours downtime.

Exactly how i did my Russell. I bought a stock seat from a member here and asked the seller - since he lived closer to Russell Cycle Products then I do - If he would ship the seat directly to them with my info attached. He agreed and I received the Russell Seat mid March. For me, it's a great seat.
