Thanks sarge. That's what I came up with too. Has anyone tried installing a dirt tire that was measured in inches and were there any fitment issues besides the front fender interference?

Have any of you seen this metzler?
Metzeler MCE Karoo Dual Sport Rear Tire - Chaparral Motorsports
It's only available in a 150/70-17. Can it theoretically be stretched across the width of the rim? I realize the loss of the profile, but the extra 10% aspect ratio height would make up for the loss when spread across the width of the rim. Being a true dual sport tire, the sidewall looks generous and stiff enough to withstand a 10mm stretch. What do the rest of you think?
It happens to be a tubeless tire as well.
This is a poll to see what tires NC7 owners actually are using, the other list the tires that fit the NC7 composed by the folks on this forum. The difference is to see what type of tires folks are actually using on their NC7.
Okaaaaaaay... I won't argue with that
Personally I would view TKC 80's as a higher percentage off/on than the Heidenau's though. My buddy has them on his Super Tenere, and they are nowhere near as knobbly.
Like you I really like the TKC 80 tires. However, I can only list what percentage the manufacture list their tire at. I have a set of TKC 80 for Nortwestrider's July WABDR ride. Great dirt tire.
Um... OCR, I truly don't mean to be a killjoy here, but I'm not seeing a huge difference between this thread and the one in Tires forum with all the same info.
