I have the Honda top case and want to add side bags for more storage. The Honda bags are grossly overpriced and seem small. I'm thinking about these Givi's. Will the Givi mount system work with the Honda top case and it's mounts in position? Thanks in advance.

Are you recording all your fill ups with Fuelly? My very worst fill up exceeds your 40 mpg and I have short commute, often run cold, etc. My first guess is that there is something wrong with your recording system. If you post your data it may become obvious. Should be easily correctable...

Honda is replacing the instrument cluster (just this one time). They report that they believe this is a specific issue with V-stream windshields. Seems very strange, but I appreciate they are taking care of the problem. I will order a cover like I use for my Garmin 590LM

Advantages and disadvantages. I have other bikes with both and enjoy both :-). I think the DCT on the NC 700 is excellent, different engine type with low rpm, high torque for efficiency.
