I bought the tech spec grips and didn't have this issue. I would think techspec would offer some customer service if you had issues with their product. Those gips weren't cheap. I like how I have the protection on the trunk and sides. imho

I use the slipgrip for my Samsung Note 4. Ram mounts. Doesnt budge at all over rough terrain. Great mount for your phone!

I have the kijima guards. Probably not idea for a higher speed incident. More suitable for low speed crash or a tipping over in a parking mishap. but I like the extended set up more than the ones that hug the bike. easy install too, no intereference with aftermarket skid plate.

It doesn't vibrate or rattle, at all. not one bit. The edges have heat shrink tape on the bottom and sides. I wouldn't put something on my bike that would cause it further damage. I don't think it's ugly, but your entitled to your opinion. However, I didn't put it on solely for looks...
