I will not try to measure the total length of the brake lines in NC/ABS but from my assessment less than 10% are made of a rubber-like material. Most are alloy steel tubes.
If someone wishes to replace good quality brake hoses with good looking ones, this is a private preference. It certainly...
I don't mind using braided hoses as long as it's practical.
I have been using a braided hose in the direct connection of the master cylinder to the ABS module for almost 10 years. It was the best solution for me due to the wide selection of brake hose lengths.
Replacing the original good quality brake hoses with some braided hoses? Not worth the effort.
You won't get any noticeable improvement. In addition, you will have to find the appropriate adapters for proper installation, ensuring a good tightness of the system under pressure.
In your case...
With Google Maps, you can use the Google Voice Assistant to add a new destination to your route.
Touch the microphone icon (the voice command "Hey Google" does not always activate the assistant) and say: "New Destination - C in D". The assistant will answer what she (he) found as new...
This is not what your post suggests.
In the first sentence of your post you write:
"... mechanic in the UK. Seems he is observing that shifter pins are failing in bikes owned by users who fail to shift to N before shutdown."
And this is total B.S.
And of course it is recommended to follow the...
From the link you gave here you can read that: "davebike ...guess from talking to customers is the pin only fails if you ignore Honda's advice to select netural...", etc. It means that Dave came to this not from his own professional experience, but on the basis of information received from...
The mechanic in the UK said what his client said:
"the pin only fails if you ignore Honda's advice to select neutral ...".
Might as well say that:
"the pin fails because he is drinking decaf coffee in the morning...".
From a mechanical point of view, this is the same kind of nonsense.
Without proper connection testing, all this chatter doesn't make much sense.
If you are capable of testing electrical connections, get the Service Manual and look for where the cable connections are and their wire markings. If you have a multimeter, "Needle Thin Tip Multi Meter Tester Lead" are...
I do not know if it means that you are convinced that the switch is broken? I don't see your comment that you tested this switch. This is quite simple and can even be done with a simple conductivity tester (probe). It might pay off. The switch assembly is not that cheap (in my understanding)?
It is rather easy to calculate. Take an average motorcycle, e.g. around 700cc / 600 lb / 60 mpg and compare it to the average sedan car 2500cc / 3500 lb / 30 mpg. For further comparison, add a 150cc lawn mower with fuel economy probably less than 2 mpg.
Ride S-mode for a while at lower speeds and see if there is any difference in the frequency of clicking sounds compared to D-mode.
The Clutch Initialize Learning (PCM) procedure may affect the operation and engagement of the clutches. It has no effect on the loud mechanical shift operation. In...
The sounds coming from transmission at lower speeds, e.g. in second gear, are rather characteristic and localized and quite easily distinguished from other sounds.
I noticed this very early on in my NC DCT ride, especially when I was driving around close to home without earplugs, for example...
