    Elusive NC700 gloves!?

Held is pretty much the cat's pajamas. Many of their gloves are available in half sizes. So while the big multi-line brand has 5 sizes of their "best" glove, Held will often have 9 or 10. Size 8.5 works best for me.

What do you do to be more "visible"?

Disagree with most of that. A brighter tail/brake light increases your chance of being seen. Being seen increases your chances on not being rear ended.

Why are motorcycle pants so uncomfortable??

The folks at Aerostich make some pretty good gear. They put function before fashion. Available in more sizes than standard production off-the-rack apparel manufacturers. They can modify your jacket/pant/suit in a dozen different ways to make it "just right." Cost is higher up front...

    Rider needs a backrest

You might try using a kidney belt in instead of backrest. Less expensive, no modifications necessary, easier to get on/off the bike.

    Fanciful Modification

Stuffed Animals I can picture this with one bike and one bike only. A metallic green Kawasaki Versys with a Kermit the Frog tied to the rear rack, personalized license plate (Kermit) and then under the Kawa logo on the fuel tank a custom decal reading: I lied.... it's easy being...

Buyer's Regret?? Got me some sidecases!

Well, I think you screwed the pooch, on multiple counts. Trying to make the Triumph rack work will only cost you time/money, and more like than not, be substandard to the correct rack. Asymmetric sized cases will look a bit funky when there's no reason for it. (NC700x muffler is low, not...
