It's nice that the NC700 still s iin the runner up though! Damn... I really want to try and test ride a CB500X now to find all the hype and see what it's all about. Who woulda thunk that they'd give an electric bike the award too .

    Camping packing trial

I had a bunch of REI things on my Christmas list this year and didn't get any of it all :( However, when it comes to packing for a trial... you can always at very worst just bungee cord your stuff to the back.

    Heated Clothing

A battery operated vest is probably the best way to go. However, if you can avoid it... I would recommend just not doing it. It's heavy and while you are warm... I feel it's a significant investment when you can throw on a really good jacket and sweater to be done with it.

Wow. Good to hear that most people here know how to drive stick. Learning to ride on my motorcycle wsn't hard at all after all the constant stalling that happened in my car when I was learning how to drive stick. I learned in a old beater civic.. down the street from my house. I still...

The Caberg Tourmax is the world's first dual-sport flip-up motorcycle helmet!

Still not trust worthy. I don't trust flip up helmets structure stability at all. In a full frontal impact, I'd imagine that the front would just pop off. That's why I don't trust it... Why take the chance for just a little bit of comfort.

Heated Gloves - a birthday present

Nice, make sure you have a switch to be able to switch it off though if you wire it directly. You don't want your battery to die from a leak/slow drain. I personally have battery powered ones which I find adequate, but it's definitely not as warm as a directly wired one.
