2016 Oil, Oil Filter Change Part Numbers and Prices (incl. DCT)

I didn't have the official honda oil filter wrench, so I had to try two different types of filter wrenches from the local O'Reilies. The 2nd one worked like a charm, but the 1st one kept slipping so I returned it. I'll change the DCT filter next time around. I changed everything else, but...

2016 Oil, Oil Filter Change Part Numbers and Prices (incl. DCT)

Thank you for the legwork on all the part numbers! I did my 1st oil change (ever) on my NC using the info here and it went as smooth as it could have gone, even though I ran into the Honda Gorilla. Quick question, I noticed in the youtube video that they didn't change the DCT O-ring if it...

2016: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?

This was a busy weekend for me and the NC700XD. I installed the Givi Windscreen (Easy!) and the center-stand (NOT EASY!). My tie downs were the skinny type and they couldn't generate the needed force to tension the springs without skipping, so the "cheat" way didn't work for me. It turns...

Fitting the Tutoro auto chainoiler to Honda NC700X (2. thread)

Johnakay, Did you simply drill out the bracket on your Tutoro so that the bolt in the rear peg fits through it, or did you find an appropriate bracket for the install? Thanks! Ricardo

    Poor Gas Mileage

Don't feel bad. I just put my 2nd tank in my new NC700, and got 53! I have been having a bit too much fun with it though. ;-)

    Hello from Austin, TX!

I love the torque too! No need to rev up to get going at all. The 1st week I grabbed for the clutch but I think that habit's finally broken. I actually scared myself riding into work today. I hit the engine cut off switch by accident and had to pull over and figure out what the heck...

I hope your ride back home was a safe and quick one! How long did it take you to get back to Austin?

2016: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?

(this is a week late) On May 17th I rode my 1 week old NC700XD up to Georgetown, TX from Austin to support legislation that will hopefully help put an end to profiling of motorcycle riders in Texas. Met up with quite a few interesting riders, and I'm pretty sure I was one of the few non-harley...

    Dumb OEM winsdhield question

If you have the DCS version of the NC700X, make sure you're fully disengaging the parking break. that's the only thing I think that would affect your MPG so severely.

    Hello from Austin, TX!

Thanks for the offer! If I think I have need for 2013 original parts I'll buzz ya, but for now I'm pretty happy with how things are setup on the bike. =) Good luck, and maybe someday I'll see ya out riding again!

    Hello from Austin, TX!

Thanks for the advice. I do have space actually and I probably have most of the tools needed. Are you using a mechanics guide for the bike or just winging it?

I do! I am making a list, checking it twice... Leaving it around so the GF sees it, etc.. Let's see what shows up for christmas this year. ;-)

    Hello from Austin, TX!

They were way nicer to me than woods so it was worth the drive! Do you do your maintenance up there as well? I'm betting the 600 mile 1st maintenance comes up pretty quick!

    Hello from Austin, TX!

Hello! I've just picked up my 2015 NC700XD and couldn't be happier! I stopped riding after I totaled my 2001 VFR back in 2004. That was no fun! I recently found out about this bike and figured, why the hell not. Let's try it out again. I'm all smiles now! The bike doesn't feel too...
