    A question for DCT owners

Do you shut the bike down while it is in gear? If so, upon start up, you are hearing the transmission putting itself into neutral. I always put my DCT in neutral when shutting down.

The evotech guard does what a radiator guard is supposed to do, and does it well. The ease of installation is a bonus. I installed an oem centerstand, loads of info about that on this site; do a search.

I'll chime in here. I can't speak about the fork protectors as I have no experience with them on an NC, but the standard Extenda Fenda from pyramid-plastics.co.uk works fine for me. I secured it with gorilla glue and did not use the included rivets. I just finished a 1000 mile trip riding the...

    Considering NC700 DCT

----- It's hard to imagine how much more refined the 3rd generation could be as compared to our 2nd generation. Mine works beautifully, as yours (obviously) does too. BTW, would you happen to know which of the 3 sport modes in the 3rd generation corresponds to the single sport mode in the 2nd...

    Considering NC700 DCT

---- Interesting. I love my BV350 because it has a wet centrifugal clutch, not a dry one like the BMW C650GT which takes a while to spool up before you get under way. Same for the Burgman. The wet clutch on the BV is miles better than the dry clutch cvt's. There's virtually no lag on my BV. A...

    Considering NC700 DCT

==== Welcome. I rode a Triumph Sprint ST 1050 for many many miles over nine years time, and like you, decided to downsize for the same reason. The only thing I miss about my Sprint is the brutal and exhilarating acceleration. Other than that, I don't miss it at all. I really think my NC700 DCT...

    New member welcome thread..

---- Greetings from Chicagoland. A few weeks ago I picked up a NOS 2015 DCT model in red. I love it. I sold my Triumph 1050 Sprint ST that I rode for nine years and many thousands of happy trouble free miles. But, these old knees of mine aren't what they used to be, and my need/desire to slow...
