Do you shut the bike down while it is in gear? If so, upon start up, you are hearing the transmission putting itself into neutral. I always put my DCT in neutral when shutting down.
The evotech guard does what a radiator guard is supposed to do, and does it well. The ease of installation is a bonus. I installed an oem centerstand, loads of info about that on this site; do a search.
