    Revamping the NC750

It may be poorly selling but I never see one on the showroom floor in any of the dealerships around me here in Northern California.

    Revamping the NC750

    1. Extend the front fender downward. 2. Provide a tall screen as standard equipment. 3. Provide heated handgrips as standard. 4. Provide a 12v Socket inside the trunk as standard. 5. Make the seat as comfortable as the one on the NT1100. 6. Provide Cruise Control as standard. 7. Provide a...

Where do you think I should stick it?

Per normal, I have no perfect ideas about where to hide a key on a motorcycle. I do have two ideas to impart about key management. One, the key goes in the front pocket of your riding pants. Two, if you use a hotel safe to store your passport, place the key with the passport. Never store a...

How much could you realistically modify a nc750x?

After reading your general description I believe you might find that the Africa Twin would check all he boxes. Especially being 6 5 you would probably like the seat in high position and a small tank bag to replace the forward trunk. I had both a 750 and an AT and in the end I stick with the 750...

If/when the NT1100 comes state side

You might turn blue holding your breath on this one. I have called Honda dealers and received nothing but telephonic blank stares in response. I would be first in line to order one but that opportunity may never come. I guess I should do the 16,000 mile service, install a new chain, check valve...

    2022 NT1100

I am thinking about it but it remains a ghost bike here in the USA. I have a feeling that we may never see it. I was in Europe in July and August 2022 and I saw a few on the road. Very enticing. I have a 2018 NC DCT and I just sold a 2018 Africa Twin DCT base model with slightly over 16,000...

    2022 NT1100

I am growing skeptical that the NT will ever come, especially because getting a new bike approved for the street is so expensive. I hope Honda sees the light and decides to do some meaningful tweaks to the NC750X DCT. Adding to the 2022 model I could see an emphasis on a slightly longer front...

2016 NC700x - dead, could it be a bad battery?

I had a similar problem. On a trip I stopped at a roadside pullout and everything up to then had been just fine. When I got up to leave I had a dead dash, no lights, nothing. I fiddled around with the terminals and everything perked up so I put it down to just gremlins. When I got home from this...

    Stranded with 2015 DCT

Also, make sure your electrical connections at the battery terminals are bright and tight...DCT won't work otherwise. Learned this the hardway.

    2022 NC 750X info (don't get excited)

I stopped by a Honda dealer in Santa Rosa, California and asked them if they had heard anything about the NT1100 becoming available. The look on one salesman's face revealed that he not only did not know the answer to the question, he had never heard of the bike at all. I have a feeling that it...

2015 NC700 DCT clunking and shuttering

Do the cheap and easy stuff first. Would be a bummer to tear into things and then find out the fix was easy. There are YouTube videos on the DCT reset. Believe me, this is very effective. I also recommend making a quick check of your battery terminal connections. Both of the things I just...

If/when the NT1100 comes state side

I might just wish for a few tweaks to the NC750x DCT models. Throttle by wire. cruise control, heated hand grips, centerstand, 12v socket in the trunk AND on the outside somewhere, a slightly larger tank (by a gallon or so) and the 750 would be a serious competitor to this new bike. We may not...

    Question NC700X won't turn over...?

Double check that you have tight clean battery connections and that the terminal screws are compressing the connectors completely.

    N/D switch doesn't work_NC750xd 2021

Take your battery connectors off and clean them up with steel wool and reconnect them good and tight. It may not be the solution but it costs nothing and about five minutes of your time and may keep you from chasing expensive fruitless solutions. I had this problem once and this procedure fixed...

    Is anyone following the NT1100?

I first had cruise control on a Yamaha Super Tenere and now have an aftermarket model installed on my 2018 Africa Twin. Like you, I never thought I would find it useful, but on some of the mind numbing stretches here in the western US it is very helpful, if only to keep the speeding tickets...

    Is anyone following the NT1100?

I have the same thoughts but I would welcome the notion of tweaking the NC750x DCT to include: Cruise control installed at the factory for throttle by wire bikes A better seat to replace the often criticized one A slightly larger fuel tank to about 4.7 gallons A larger touring windshield...

Automatic-transmission on a motorcycle? 2021 Honda NC750X DCT | Daily Rider, by Zack Courts

In answer to why not just get a scooter? Scooters are a strictly upright position and on a long trip your tailbone will be talking to you...a lot. I had a Honda Silverwing that I rode on 1500 mile trips and it definitely was not comfortable enough without extraordinary measures. The NC reloads...

Automatic-transmission on a motorcycle? 2021 Honda NC750X DCT | Daily Rider, by Zack Courts

Worth noting is that the paddle shifter on the left side can be used no matter if the bike is in manual or automatic mode.

    HSTC settings

I know HOW to set the HSTC but I would like to know what number of bars to apply to what conditions. I presume the HSTC starts off in the dry, smooth pavement mode and then any adjustments after that are for less bars. Somebody please clarify. I have never touched this control.
