Anybody used Castrol 10W50 Full synthetic Motorcycle oil in 2016 DCT?

I know 10W50 is not in the recommended oil list. But, did anybody use 10W50 grade any way? What would happen or what would go wrong if you use 10W50 Full synthetic oil in 2016 NC700X ABS DCT?

10W-50 oil is not recommended. There are so many good choices available in the recommended 10W-30 and 10W-40. Why paint outside the lines?

If I 'lost' all the engine's oil and all I could get was that, I'd use it. But given you've spent the money on a fairly new & nice Honda, why would you trust someone's opinion on the internet on which oil to use but not Honda's?
