Some of My Previous Bikes

Re: pictures

Don't feel too bad guys, for every one of my bike pictures shown, I am missing at least ten of each bike not here, due to either flood/fire/ex-girlfriends: "what did you need all those old dirty motorcycle pictures and comic books for? Those are for children. I threw those out because I needed that box for my shoes."

Honda XL185
Honda NS400R (2-stroke V-3)
Suzuki Katana 1100 (first gen)
Honda VF750F Interceptor (first gen)
Suzuki GSX-R 750 (first gen)
Suzuki GSX-R 1100 (first gen)

To name a few. Siiiigh. :(

Oh well. Time marches on, eh what? :)

Found a picture of my KLR. I had a tank slapper at 75mph and sold the bike soon after.

First bike 1986 Honda Rebel 450, it's in australia now. Guy wanted it way more than me. Carbs were a nightmare to do!!!
Second bike was Yamaha 650 V Star custom, great mid turm learner, only 5 gears.
And my sweety brand new with 14 miles on it!!!. Had lots of dirt bikes but that was a long, long time ago!!!
The Rebel would out run all of them, great little bike!

Well, I've only been on the bikes for a relatively short time, but here goes...

First bike, GS500f, delivered new just prior to ever having ridden a motorbike (nothing like jumping in at the deep end!)

(met it's match a year later when I T-boned a car that stopped across all lanes of the road)

replaced by...

(same bike, just the next year and colour scheme)

moved on and replaced by...

the mighty 2007 SV1000S. Still have this, currently in pieces receiving a new coat of paint tomorrow.

Added to the stable as a work commuter (200km round trip)...
R15.jpg
The Yamaha R15, with its whopping 150cc motor. Handled the trip surprisingly well, but since moved on to where we are today...

Jeff that thing looks fast, I imagine you would have to have your wits about you if you got in to it really hard!

It was the first Honda 16 valve superbike engine. It will scoot but it is nothing compared to the screaming liter bikes today. It is a very smooth comfortable bike. It has air shocks, air forks, and a low range high range 10 speed tranny. Very unique. See the two shift levers in the bottom pic. Crazy huh?

This is my previous bike...

Gilera Gp800 (839cc) 75cv (originally)

Mine was 916cc
212km/h (real speed)
0-100km/h 3.58 seconds
0-200meters 7.78 seconds
Not bad for a scooter
