To weld an inch or so extension onto my rear brake pedal and shifter foot lever I'd like to identify precisely which metals are used in their construction.
I suspected aluminium but I did recently hand sand off a bunch of soft red coloured corrosion from my shifter lever... I thought only steel could rust red as aluminium oxide was grey. But looks like some of the replacement levers from other Hondas on ebay are claiming to be aluminium after all. Does anyone know for sure?
