I rode my 2013 NC to work after about a week of mods - new Pirelli tires, seat angle mod, fork oil change (7wt, 104mm level), fork spring preload (+7mm washer stack), bar risers and gel grips. The bike had the original tires and after 10 years and only 2700 miles, they needed changing. I can't believe the difference!

Thursday lunch ride with my younger brother and buddy Jim. New place for us called Midwest Best BBQ in Loveland, Ohio. I had pulled pork, brother had honey/chili/lime chicken wings, Jim had chopped chicken and baked beans. 82 miles @ 66 degrees and sunny. Great day and ride.

Went for a 50 mile ride on this beautiful rural PA day. Rode out to the lake & met my wife on her Pcx150. I followed her back a ways & then split off to ride some more!
Now I am making beef jerky….

I had an on coming Mercedes turn to his right, in front of me. I was doing about 40mph. I have no idea what the actual impact speed was but I'm ok.

I may have sprained my right wrist but that's all.

It bent both forks and broken the front wheel. My right arm hit and twisted the mirror around.

When we hit, the car was traveling to my right which turned the handlebars hard right. The rear of the bike came off of the ground enough to cause left handlebar to hit the car and tweek it a bit.

My jacket armor took the shoulder impact to the top of the passenger window. My helmet made contact with the roof of the car but calling that a head impact would be an over statement.

Im wondering if the bike can be fixed or did it bend the frame.

Oh geez, glad you weren't badly hurt. Going to need a wreck estimate from a shop, but from the looks of it I would think the frame would be ok. Dag gone bad time of the year for the bike to be laid up though.

I trust he stopped and was adequately insured.

Yes.

The other car has insurance so that is good.

I think what saved me the most was the fact that there was a place to eat just beyond the point of impact. I was starting to slow down to turn into that place.

One disturbing fact came up. There was a car behind me and another car to my left (I was in the right hand lane). The driver in the car that I hit didn't notice any of us. He was from out of town and when the GPS said turn right he made the turn regardless of the incoming traffic.

I'll let the group know what the insurance adjuster thinks about the damage and if it can be fixed .

I am so glad that you are ok and I hope your bike is ok as well!
I agree, bad time for the bike to be in the shop, better than you being laid up.
Please update us you go.

I just read a report where someone drove straight into the water in a marina following their GPS. Crazy
