Sunny Days to all...Hi from La Florida, USA. Got my NC700x on my b'day August 9. First one in the area (St. Petersburg). I have been riding between the rain drops as we have been getting wet the past few weeks. I spread out my riding among 4 other bikes (St1100, Triumph Bonne, HD FLHS and Yama TW200). Whew, love bikes. Retired Engineer from local IOU Electric utility also adjunct professor at local college. Army Vet - ABN; 1963 -'66. Spent July hiking & camping in Alaska where I met many Adventure toruers riding the ferry system from port to port then riding their motos on the backroads (where available) in AK. Fired my imagination and I am outfitting the NC700X for next summer. If you have read this far thanks for letting me gas off. Will follow forums. Regards.

Wjohnso1, welcome to the forum, and congratulations on you recent acquisition. What better way to celebrate the birthday with the addition of a new bike. Hoe to see you around. Enjoy...

Hi I'm Cutter J. Duke (my pen name aquired in the Navy) a 40 plus year rider of all things two wheeled and I just traded my 2008 GSX-R 750 for my NC700X. I had a lot of people asking me if I had lost my mind, giving up my Gixxer and about 100hp. I made a choice for the long run, and I knew from the minute I let out the clutch that I had made the right choice. I don't want to be to self serving from the get go, but if your intrested in the process of how I made the choice, here is a link to my musings on the subject. Just a quick hello here from Austin. Picked up my NC700X yesterday after work. Traded in my trusty Bandit 1250 that I bought new in '07 and put 60k fond miles on. So far I'm loving the NC, got a lot more reading to do here on the site!

Hi welcome from the UK. I'm sure that you will find lots of interesting reading on here. Meemerphile alone has posted more interestinginfo than you get on most forums

Hello to all,
Purchased a NC700X 8/3/12, and the sunny weather has been great to get some good rides in. First impressions of the new Honda are good. I think it will fit my riding style.

Hi to you all from an unusually sunny South Wales. I sold my Suzuki GS750 some 33 years ago and resorted to 4-wheels....and regretted it ever since. About a month ago I went out with a view to reaquainting myself with 2 wheels and fancied a Transalp..... always have, however I tried out the NC700X and bouht one there and then. Am enjoying the experience and have been impressed with the forum so I registered today and thought I'd introduce myself. Hi to you all.

Hi folks,
I'm a potential NC owner so joined the forum today. Based near Sandwich, Kent, UK, I currently own a Honda 750cc Africa Twin and a few other bikes. The Africa has been a year-round commuter for 10 years and it may soon be time to let it retire and lead an easier life :) Took the 700X out for a test recently, both the manual and the auto versions, and I have to say I really liked the auto (albeit found myself wanting to change down on some occasions when slowing to a halt!). However, I'll guess I'll probably end up with the manual version as I suspect there's probably less to go wrong over the long term.

Hi Relayer good to have you on board. Just as a matter of interest does your user name have any railway connection?

Hello Rocker66 and thank you. My username refers to an album by Yes, from way back when, nothing to do with railways I'm afraid.

I'm mikerbike . I've had that username since I rode BMWs for years, especially R bikes. I am a semi-retired social worker in south central Pennsylvania. I just off-loaded a Concours14 and a 500 Ninja that was my commuter bike and bought an NC700XDC. I've been riding since 1966, commuting, touring and romping. At the age of 68, I've decided it's time to downsize a bit and slow down. I never expected to ride a bike with no clutch lever and I still catch myself squeezing air with my left hand. Haven't put many miles on the NC, yet because I've been a little busy but I'm enjoying it. I'm not a big farkler but I just put on a base to carry my trusty Givi top case when I need groceries.

I really enjoy this forum. I'm glad it's international, open minded and no one is abusive or obscene. Some forums are just not pleasant.
