A few people have been scammed on the site, Only use paypal to pay for items for sale by other members. If they will not use paypal, its likely a scam NEVER SEND E-TRANSFERS OF ANY KIND.
I ended up going with the Scorpion SGS gloves. They look like something you would see on a race track... and I'm just a commuter. So, yeah, a little overkill but for the cost and what they offer in protection I don't care.
I also got the REV'IT Airwave pants. Hoping they work out well.

This has probably been done before. Just wondering what else everyone here would consider riding other than the NC700X if you were going out to buy a new bike today. Why?
I assume most people here ride the NC, but if you have another bike you enjoy more what is it and why?
Probably should have asked this before, too: Is there a riding shoe out there that comes in wide sizes? I have wide feet and it is a massive pain (pun intended... meh) when I look for basketball shoes, too.
Sorry if this has been covered here before. I did search the forums but my specific questions weren't asked exactly. The post is long, but if you're short on time read the last paragraph.
Two items I am wondering about are boots and riding pants. I work in an office and basically use my bike...
Not sure if this is the correct forum or not, but I am curious if anyone (especially those in northern parts of the country) leaves their bike outside during the winter months (with a cover)?
My original plan when I got it was to build a little shed to store her in once the first snow hit the...
D'oh!!! I had no idea that Contour shuttered (see what I did there???)
That stinks. I have a feeling asking the GF to return the camera will be more trouble than it is worth. I may just have to bite the bullet. Especially since it has already been opened and who knows where she got it.
So I just had my 32nd birthday a couple weeks ago and my awesome GF bought me a Contour+2 camera. I'm excited as I haven't done anything for my bike since I got it a couple of months ago, and my first "mod", I think, is going to be mounting the waterproof case somewhere on the front of the bike...
I have only been on my NC for about a month or so, but my last bike (which I last rode a few years ago) was a Honda Shadow.
I would have assumed that the Shadow would have been worse on the highway than the NC (based on the fact that the NC at least has a windscreen).
It has been a while...
I finally got to try out S mode the other day, too, after my initial 600 mile service (I didn't want to get it up in the gears until "break in" was over).
I felt like someone handed me a second bike! You have the fuel economy, plodder-but-enjoyable bike for commuting when you're in D... and...
That sucks, man. My guess would be that your brother is right and you just have to eat the damages.
Would be nice to see a picture of the area to get a better understanding of how the bus blocked you, but I would be really pissed if they just drove off, too. But I can't imagine there being...
