Check my perception of steering feel?

I put a set of handlebar risers on my last bike and the first time out it felt like it didn't want to turn. Not sure if it was the new position of the handlebars or sitting in a more upright position. Either way small changes in geometry can have a pretty big effect on steering feel. By the...

Saddlemen touring seat kit - review

Any idea why Saddlemen lists their kits for 2013-2014 only? I thought the seat wasn't changed at all until 2014 and even then the pan wasn't changed. The seat concepts is listed for all years and both 700 and 750.

    How to carry my laptop

I'm away on business for a few days so can't get to pictures, but basically I have the two rear straps crossed under the fender and looped behind the tail light. The two front straps are straight down to the passenger foot peg mounts. Very secure, but still working through a couple of things...

    How to carry my laptop

I really don't like riding with a heavy backpack, so I got this Cortech tail bag for just that purpose: Cortech :: Luggage :: Super 2.0 24L Tail Bag My 15" laptop in a padded sleeve fits perfectly with the sides expanded.

    Hands Keep Falling Asleep/Tingling

I have noticed the same thing on my last couple of rides. I think it has to do with my thinner summer gloves, so the grip puppies may be just the thing. Or maybe just a new pair of summer gloves with better padding on the palms. I don't think the risers would help other than just maybe...

Ugg.......And I am not talking about the boot....

You know that any minute the UK gang will be chiming in telling us what babies we are and how if they didn't ride in the rain they would never get to ride at all :p

First scratch is the HARDEST! :(

I guess I should learn to keep my comments to myself. Karma always catches up. Got home from about 100 mile ride this morning, went to put her on the side stand on my unpaved driveway so I could open the garage, sidestand landed on rock or maybe just a soft spot and she rolled forward just...

First scratch is the HARDEST! :(

You know, every time someone posts about the latest mod without pictures someone else will reply with "if there's no pictures it didn't happen". Now if we could just extend that logic to when bad things happen too. :p

    SHAD Comfort Seat

Hmmm.... Looks like that itch I've had to order this seat for the last few weeks is fading fast. Glad I at least avoided this first run, but I was hoping this would be "the one". If there was a cosistent problem i would have some hope that they cold fix it once and i could order once they had...

Owner's manual was not on my bike...

The dealer handed me the owners manual when we signed the papers. There is a compartment at the bottom of the frunk that it is supposed to fit in, so it could be there. There are two fasteners holding it closed. Don't remember if they are pins or thumb screws, I would have to go look...

DCT for 8,150 or manual for 6,400?

I think you are opening yourself to a lot of biased replies. Just ask yourself if you really want the DCT, and if it is worth the almost $2000 difference. I personally had no desire to have the DCT so I really didn't consider the price difference. BTW, $6400 is exactly what I paid in February...
