The NC700x dct has checked all your boxes for me. The DCT is really great in around town traffic.

I have 15,800 miles on my DCT. Rode to Canada last year, 2400 mile trip, heavy load. No problems with the bike so far (still on original chain and sprockets). It does sound a little more clickety clackity in the engine/transmission area...

I get the same effect. 62 - 68 mpg local commuting, 72 - 78 mpg on the long rides with few stops.

I used an old duffel bag I had in the garage strapped on with 2 Rokstraps. It made a good back rest for my 700 mile camping trip :) Put gas in the tank 3 times, unloading/loading the duffel added less than 2 minutes to the fill time.

I installed 2" Rox risers on my DCT. The break hose is the limiting factor, I had to move the break handle 3/4" inward (away from the throttle) to make it work. Break hose has no slack but is not stretched. I think the break hose could be re-routed behind the forks instead of in front which...

Mine shifts into 6th at 39mph (D mode) riding normally. If I really push it it will shift later.
