Yes correct, I was wondering if any of the ver. or var. have different specs on the ecu, for example, according to specific laws for different regions.

I can clarify you on what I meant:
"S" version - RC61
"X" version - RC63
Now inside each model there are diferences according to where they are sold, I believe, and that is what I would like to understand.
I just finished a legalization process in Europe for my NC700X
During that I realized that there are several versions for this model (RC63), with mine being VAR.1, VER.1
I have an Arrow exhaust, and it's EU homolagation is for VAR.5, VER.1
If anyone can give any insight on the diferences...
I was living in Africa for couple years and have the same skid plate, it was the best thing I did and it has paid itself more times than you would believe :D
Ride safe!
I have the same setup as you - 700X manual - and installed the skid plate myself with no issues.
Try and reset the whole procedure, take out everything and go through the instructions provided as it seems unlikely for the problem to be in the skid plate itself.
Only small issue with mine...
20.000 km and back brake pads are still new as I only use them in hard braking - here the bike will duck as a whole as someone said above - slow riding between traffic lanes and slow U turns as keeping gentle back brake will help bike falling ibto the turn.
I agree that back brake is for...
Touching 13k miles, third front brake pad set, stock rear with some rubber still and front tire reaching wear marks.
Back brake pads almost new
Transmission still very good.
Homemade preventive maintenance.
Fork maintenance needed at 10k miles.
Amazing how different riding styles and...
Did mine twice, change it every 7.000km.
I ride in VERY dusty environment either on or offroad.
First time was a bit tricky, second time check the vídeo only in a few steps and maybe next one will not need the vídeo.
It is very basic, but lots of steps to be done and first time to be honest I...
Newbie question here, what would be the difference from K&N filters comparing with the original ones?
Would the air filter be advisable to ride under very dusty environment?
I am with LA_NC700X on this one, clean evereything well and double check. I had the same symptoms some time ago and conclusion was it was coming from the chain lube.
Some people here are missing the point, I was asking for opinion because I have very limited mechanical knowledge.
I am not shifting without clutch but when I did it a couple times the process was very smooth and did not feel any mechanical effort in the gear lever or in my ear.
As for the...
Very nice, if only the middle part of Africa was not the chaos it is now I would go from South Africa to Europe.
Now you can go to a small area in the north, where you have been, and here where I live the Southern part is safe to ride also with epic rides.
Not possible to ride the continent...
Purpose would be only riding pleasure and some less thousands clutch actuations every year.
I brought this to the forum as I am not a mechanic and because it feels so smooth that to my mind it is not damaging the transmission.
