also you people who "trust" dealer mechanics the first time I was there after purchase I was siting outside and I saw the mechanic flying out the drive way and hit the rev limiter in first and second, that didn't bother me cause of how restricted the nc engine is. almost stupid proof...
To be honest the more I know some one the less likely I would let them borrow it. Just because if something happened and they damaged it and I ended up with monitory loss or they get hurt it would bother me for a long time. If someone I barley knew took it out and totaled it other then paying...
Update So I had never heard back from the dealer or honda and its geting worse as far as I can tell. I have found an additional issue with my bike which some of you may be experiencing which could explain why some of use have very random MPG numbers. Referring to getting low mpg and then high...
anyone running an Acerbis Skid plate? I'm looking to run around up north on some logging road and atv trails, probably some minimal bottoming out will occur at some point. I'm not running knobbies at this time so it wouldn't be to extreme anyways. More or less not planing to get in to deep...
ok good deal iv had other bikes (2009 Road Star Warrior) It always poped alot but it was a common deal and unfixable, removing the air pump helped but if you all got it is sound good to me thanks
So my Carbon GP just came in I slapped it on and its is super easy...Were you able to seat the lower pipe all the way to the stop on the factory head pipe? Im hearing some gurgling and light popping while decelerating which would be a sign of an air leak and that would be the only area I could...
Update took it to the dealer so he could verify the issue and did, but the tech seemed less then interested at all but said he would submit a email to honda and see what they wanted to do, my hopes aren't high ....
So finally got my GPS on the bike to test that weirdness which I coulda swore was occuring at 75mphs and I was right. At 74mph my gps indicated 1mph off. accelerating lightly through the 75mph zone I got to 81 before it read 76 on my speedo (AH HA i'm not crazy!) as I proceeded it continued to...
so that faster I ride the better the fuel economy is...that first tank ever break in 64 mpg then the next average riding which is faster acceleration and driving all around then brake in, 60 then followed by 62. Normal riding for me is low 60's thats a good as it gets :). hasn't sliped gears...
Well im determined to get me a LV1 in carbon fiber so I contacted Leo UK and i'm going to see what shipping to the US will cost me, also I have read that Leo-USA created Canadian dealers which maybe could be able to order leo products? maybe not, but I think im going to give it a try too.
ok well I'm goin to let this next tank pass and then check the next one, also im going to verify with gps the mile count is correct or dang close and if that's all ok then lord let that trany issue be an isolated incident. If I cant get 55 mpg on standard riding which is up to 65 mph I think I...
So anyone notice there mpgs being lower when new, and after the engine full breaks in gaining some? I have always heard this but never experenced it. I got a new windscreen today some maybe that will help...the 6,3 frame with a large coat makes some drag.
well as far as fuel economy being low, i'm complaining cause those 2 tanks were at grandma acceleration and speeds, now the last tank which isn't empty yet if i got 55 mpg all good with that but if I babied my bandit 1200 I could get better then 45 with out a doubt. I have had 2 other bikes of...
So Finally done with first service and I got to strech the NCs legs. Things I have noticed before and during are as follows.
1 prior to finishing breaking as per factory spec, the indicated mpg averages for 2 tanks which I was paying attention to were 62 and 64...not to bad
wrong actual...
So there is a shortage, hmmm figures. I want to keep my cat, I want to retain close to factory back pressure so I have minimal issues with fuel trim, I prefer engine internal and external to be as stock as possible they made it that way for a reason and they paid alot of smart people to figure...
So prior to picking up my NC I was more or less in love with the sound from the Leo LV1 cans, so naturally I want one. So no one lists one for a 2014 and I have come to find none in stock for 12's either...which I presume is the same but you tell me? I contacted Leo directly as there web site...
Well that post is more about wind noise. I haven't ever had a shield more then 10 inches on any bike to i'm new to actually having protections from the wind. I want to reduce the fatigue on long rides. How tall of a madstad shield should i be looking at seems with all that adjustment I may not...
