New '16 DCT Owner... minor question

I can confirm the R&G Radiator guard fits the 2016 DCT--it is on my bike (first farkle that went on it, along with SW Motech engine guards). Cheers

    New Calsci Windshields for 2016 NC700 / NC750

I notice at the link there are only two options for "NC700 Europe, Oz, and Canada only 2012+" by which CalSci means (I think) NC750X. So is there no CalSci touring windscreen for the NC750? I am going to find something--either new windscreen or helmet or ??. I like the CalSci windscreens.

    Taking the plunge--deposit down on a 2016 750x DCT

I can absolutely confirm the MOTECH engine guard fits the 2016 750X DCT, as well as the R&G Radiator Guard. Both are installed on my shiny new bike. Since the parts arrived before the bike did, I dropped off the parts at the dealer and had them installed as part of PDI so was able to pick up...

    NC700/Suzuki DL650 comparison

Hey Klimber, I have had two DL650's and loved them both (K06 and K09 outfitted with Pelican side cases and otherwise set up for touring with MadStad bracket/windscreen/other farkels). I just took delivery of a 2016 750X DCT. I seriously considered a new Vstrom when I started looking for a new...

    NC750X Canadian version

Hey WK, I could have warned you about the "tulip festival"--I got off on Hwy 11 and came home through Yarrow on the way home yesterday to avoid it. I will be on the bike all week but today I was locked to my desk, unfortunately. Looking forward to riding with you.

    NC750X Canadian version

I picked up my bike yesterday!! Wow, what a great ride this bike is! I ghost shifted it just once--got used to the paddle shifters to downshift when in D mode very quickly. I am so impressed with the bike, or "Nessie" (thanks LBS) as she will be known. The handling at low speed is what I...

    2016 NC750X No Thanks

So somehow Ontario got the bikes before we did in BC? Figures. My DCT will arrive this week and I can't wait for it to get here! Ruggybuggy, did you notice the make of the OEM tires on the 2016? I can't tell from the pic (thanks for that!). A colleague of mine and I both sold our vStroms...

    I finally put a deposit down on a 2016 NC700X DCT ABS...

My 2016 750X DCT is in Edmonton (along with Whiteknuckle's) and on its way to me by next week! I fully expect to have my bike by about the 16th. Hope you get yours soon!

    Greetings from Nova Scotia

There really isn't much of another season in Newfoundland. I remember being there in June, with snow flying and an iceberg in the harbour. Makes me shiver just thinking about it! But, apparently there are a couple of weeks in early August that are nice.

    I'm back!

By the way, I also have owned a Burgman. I really miss the heated seat--I am thinking about a heated Sargeant seat down the line for my 750X. :)

    I'm back!

Hi Sam and welcome. I just sold my DL650 (K09) and was looking at either a new DL650 or the 750X. I test rode both last year and it was close between the two for sure. What sold me on the 750X (which I have on order and am waiting for) is the DCT (first time in Canada on that bike). Since...

    Greetings from Nova Scotia

Welcome NSNC! Motorized bicycles were the beginnings for our sport/hobby/recreation/alternative mode of transportation. While I rode mini-bikes around a field as a kid, all of my experience was on bicycles until my 40's too. It translates! Tons of great information on this forum--have fun...

    Extra battery for GPS

That's good to know. I was thinking I would have to make a hole somewhere but it sounds like it may not be necessary!

    NC750X Canadian version

I have a call in to Holeshot... As of 2 days ago I was told "no news". I did however receive my Motech engine guards and radiator protector.... Can't wait!

wish all bikes had honda style indicators switch

Wow that is a horror story to be sure. The absolute worst thing that can happen is that you hit the wrong control when you need it in an emergency. Life lesson: when buying a new bike (or car or lawnmover or any kind of power equipment), practice using the emergency controls until it is muscle...

Before you clean, tighten and align your chain......

I feel your pain. I was getting our bikes ready for a trip down to California and found an unexpected nail 48 hours before we were to leave... no time to order tires, had to take what was in stock and $$$$. But, better to have found it before leaving and get a flat (or worse) on the road...

2016 BMW R1200RS - Talk me off the edge

Yes, if we are talking "dream bikes" that would be it for me, too. Or the GS1200. Or hell, if money were no object why not both? But if money were no object then I could also afford to have them dealer maintained, too. Most of the BMW owners I know fall into one of two categories: there are...

    NC750X Canadian version

Here it is!! Just built at Holeshot in Langley, British Columbia. Unfortunately (for me) this one belongs to Honda Canada for a photo shoot/tour--it has been outfitted with knobbies and hand guards. Thank you to Richard Craven at Holeshot for the pic! Richard can't yet confirm the mid-April...
