A few people have been scammed on the site, Only use paypal to pay for items for sale by other members. If they will not use paypal, its likely a scam NEVER SEND E-TRANSFERS OF ANY KIND.
Just got my AT on Tuesday, after hesitating for a big while and putting my NC to sell. Dealer was giving me much less for the NC than I expected, based on all the gear I added to it, and I still owe financing on it, so it was not really worth trading it in, so I kept it. Since I'm starting my...
For the note, I didn't do anything with my NC these last days, but I'm working on a feature I'm sure you guys will love (and probably greenboy more than anyone else): trip reports (with maps and pics)... And I'll make that embeddable here (if the admin wants to implement it ;) ) It should be on...
Didn't you know you can park on any parking spot in the street for half price? Just use the paybyphone app ;)
Btw, will we finally meet before I ride away? Or before I get my AT and give the NC to Holeshot?
Great thread. Started following. I PM'd you on facebook (saw the link on your blog), before noticing you had answered this thread too.
I added your blog to sphyn.com (I built a blog reference list where people can link their blogs [for free]). Not sure it will make a big difference at this...
I know. Just feels "weird' to go to an AT thread on a NC forum, but hey, at least we stay close to the "family" ;)
Maybe we should start a section of forums by bikes, if many NC owner move to different bikes but want to keep in touch somehow :)
Went to the dealership yesterday to see if I would have to pay off the NC before leaving for my mexico/CA/SA trip (delayed to July btw), and since I won't, I decided to check the options for an AT... Should go back to the dealership this week for an appraisal of my NC.
I've been thinking about...
Making the deal even better. As informed on the Sphyn Facebook page (Sphyn | Facebook) we're now running a draw for a Sphyn t-shirt; all you have to do is register on sphyn.com and add an address to your account (hosting [visible] or not [private]), which will be used to send you the t-shirt if...
I'm 6"2 and I flat foot on the NC. But when it starts leaning, there's no way I can hold the weight, I can just slow down the drop. I'd advise against tip-toeing with a bike that heavy... Last year I rode between Yuma and San Diego, and there were strong wind gusts, I can tell you that you'll...
Thanks, same here :D
And thanks for registering!! Btw, if you want to host at your place, you need to check the "Hosting" option, which will allow you to enter the features you can offer to your guests (inclusive beer ;) ). Maybe it was not obvious... :/ you don't HAVE to host, though, just...
I'm building a site, sphyn.com, to help people find cheap hosting when they travel anywhere in the world. Accessorily, the fees charged (minimal) will help me maintain the site and pay for the web hosting expenses, and also possibly progress with my travel around the world on the NC. I created a...
Sorry late reply, quite busy lately :)
Answer is, I look through it ;) Never paid much attention to that, not an issue for me. Unless by night and with rain, but I'd say I use to not see anything at all with or without windscreen then :D
From experience, I can say that on centerstand, the bike is WAY MORE stable than on the kickstand, at least fully loaded. My bike tipped over on kickstand once because of the wind, never on centerstand. The kickstand is much stable if the winds blows AGAINST it, that's for sure, but otherwise I...
Just wanted to weigh in. After my 12K+ miles trip around the states last year, with fully loaded bike, I have to say the centerstand was the only viable solution to me. It helps with loading/unloading/fuelling and in particular ONE day I didn't put the bike on centerstand at a stop with a...
Funny that in the beginning I was shifting on my NC750XA (manual) according to the manual, and getting in 6 around 70km/h... But after a while I found that the bike is boring that way... it does well, but it doesn't give its best, so I changed: lately I rarely shift to 6th gear below 100km/h...
Like most here, I'd stay with the 2012 NC for now... You'll probably still find good deals on NCs when this one dies.
On the other hand, I've personally been itching to trade mine for a VFR1200X or an Africa Twin... I love the NC, and it probably does everything I need - and can deal with - but...
