Changing Brake Fluid, 250cc Enough?

250cc might do it. But, since brake fluid is commonly sold in the US in 12 ounce (355cc) bottles, that's usually what I have on hand. Combined ABS systems may need more fluid than separate non-ABS systems.

Of course, the amount you'll need is directly related to how many times you have to bleed air from the lines. It's not like an oil change which requires a set amount. Brake fluid is cheap - just buy another small can and have it on hand. It won't start to degrade (absorb moisture) until you open the cap.

ps. to make the process easier, I always first empty the reservoir using a small siphon, then clean the interior of the reservoir thoroughly before topping off with new fluid and start the bleeding process. That way you can see see when the oil dark fluid changes to clear new fluid.
