On top of the all-new – and very stylish – R 18 Roctane that was just released, Munich’s main-hub BMW Museum is getting ready to celebrate a centennium of beauty bikes from the House of Bayerische Motoren Werke – and doors open tomorrow!
BMW’s release tells us that “Over 55 original BMW motorcycles and themed displays with 15 unique stations” will be present, with proper dedication to the Bavarians’ racing icons, developers, and an entire separate area dedicated to BMW’s R 18 range – all showcased beautifully in the museum’s thoroughly interesting, circa-1973 Museumsschüssel, or “Museum Bowl.”

“Visitors will find the most valuable pieces in the exhibition on the way from platform 2 to Motorsport,” states BMW’s press release.
“From here, two machines are presented that are associated with victory in the legendary Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man: in this road race, which is probably the most difficult in the world, Schorsch Meier was successful on his BMW R 255 Kompressor, and 75 years later Michael Dunlop placed first on a BMW S 1000 RR.”

The exhibition will run from 10am to 6pm, with tickets locked into the following price points:
