I love the sound, especially with the dbKiller out. Because it's just a slip on, and the stock cat is still in place, do I need to do any kind of remap, air filter change, or other fuel adjustments?

Engine wise, everything else is stock, and I run NON-ethanol 87 octane. Would it do any good to run 91/92?

You have no remap or ajustments to do, just ride ! Don't spend money on high octane gas...this motor is designed to run with regular gas.

It's kinda the same here, just expressed differently.

RON= Research Octane Number

This is the number seen most everywhere in the world, shown at the pump.


MON= Motor Octane Number

This is a number calculated using a different test, and arrives at a lower figure for the rating of RON



Canada and the US use the AKI Anti Knock Index rating, which is arrived at via: (R+M)/2 to get the Posted Octane Number, seen at our pumps.

ie in Canada, our lowest (87) is your 91-92, our 94 would be your 100+ and so on. We also have 89, 92, etc.

So for the world tourers out there (not me, I'm a commuter), which countries are not using RON? Besides Sweden.
