This year’s 2023 Bangkok Motor Show saw Team Green showing off the beginner-friendly Eliminator 400 cruiser for Japan’s Powersports industry – and we could be getting something slightly more powerful headed to America just in time for 2024.

According to RideApart, application papers sourced from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) show a series of filed model codes: EL450A, EL450B, EL450C, and EL450D – all new combinations similar to the Eliminator 400’s own combo, EL400A.

While B, C, and D are all too generic to guess at what kind of bikes Kawi’s got in store, we have a better idea of what “A” entails; in other words, we may potentially be looking at a larger-cc version of the Eliminator 400.

Think about it: If Eliminator 400 stands for EL400A, then surely Eliminator 450 stands for EL450A, right?

Both Dennis Chung from Motorcycle.com and Dustin Wheelen think so; if the filings are any indicator as to specs, we’ll also be getting a power platform capable of 451cc’s – something that hovers smack between Kawi’s 400 parallel twin platform (399cc) and their larger, 650 parallel twin platform (649cc).

Bottom line, it’s clear that Kawasaki’s looking to contend with the Honda 500 displacement of 471cc – and if it means we get new kinds of revvers onto US asphalt, I say hell yes to whenever Kawi decides to send this piece of pretty over.
