Newbie Question - What's this For?

Still learning about my new-to-me 2018 NC750X.

While installing a Battery Tender pigtail on my battery, I noticed this strange shape on the bottom of the frunk.

What's it for?

It is a storage carrier for a u-bolt security lock that was never offered as an accessory by Honda in the US market. Is is also part of the lid for the “secret compartment”, or where the owner’s manual is sometimes located in the frunk bottom.

Thanks. Now I don't feel quite so bad that I didn't know what it was.

I did open the document compartment, but no owner's manual. I did finally get one.
