Only Starts in Neutral

Hi.
I´m just bought a used Nc700x.
But i found one issue, the bike only starts in neutral.
Even with the clutch lever pressed, it doesn´t start with a gear engaged.

Any ideas?

It won't start in gear with the side stand down.

And if the side stand is up, there is a problem with the switch.

Make sure the wire is connected to the switch on the clutch handle. Knocked mine off once and took a while to figure out that is all it was.

I'm assuming no user error (starting with kickstand down). I'd guess, most likely culprit is one of the wires has been knocked loose from the clutch lever safety switch. If it was the kickstand switch, the bike would die when you put it in gear.

Found it. One the wires near the cluch lever was unplugged.

HAD that problem, no start with bike in gear, clutch lever in, side stand up.
and came to the forum, looked at thread topics and found the answer! HERE!
