radiator fan question

Greetings! Last summer I was idling at the railroad crossing and noticed that radiator fan did not come up despite at 100 F weather.
In fact, I never heard it coming up since I got the bike.
Now with hot weather coming back here, I am wondering how can I check if it functions correctly? No warning lights from the instrument cluster or boiliing..
Any advice?

My over flow hose was blocking my fan, I imagine it was like that sense I adjusted the valves in Oct, I just noticed when I was inspecting it a week ago
