I've booked ten days from the middle of May next year to do something a bit different; I plan on riding my motorbike around the Scottish highlands.
Of course, you've got to get there first: so the round trip from door to door on the south coast of England and back again will be just under 1,800 miles. It'd only be me - top box, two side cases and a canvas bag on the back seat, I hope to mix wild camping with sofa surfing and B&Bs: has anyone I know done the NC500 and can they offer any hints or tips?
The blue spidery lines at the bottom are the previously recorded tracks from the Calimoto app; as you can see, the furthest north I've travelled before was Oxford - this would be somewhat further!
